"Breaking Bad" star Mike Batayeh dies aged 52

Mike Batayeh has died at the age of 52.

The actor, who was most recognized for his role as laundromat manager Dennis Markowski on 'Breaking Bad,' died of a heart attack.

The actor died on June 1 at his home in Michigan, according to his sister.

"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my sisters and I announce the passing of our dear brother @Mike Batayeh on Thursday June 1 2023," his family stated on Facebook, with a vintage photo of the actor. Those who loved him and his remarkable capacity to bring laughter and joy to so many will miss him immensely. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. "#mikebatayeh #mikebatayehbreakingbad"

Batayeh appears in many episodes of 'Breaking Bad' between 2011 and 2012.

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' 'CSI: Miami,' 'Everybody Loves Raymond,' and 'The Bernie Mac Show' were among his other television appearances.

Some of Batayeh's coworkers have already expressed their respects to the late actor.

"A devastating loss of a huge life - Mike," Hollywood filmmaker Rola Nashef posted on Facebook. You were everyone's friend, Batayeh. And by everyone, I mean everyone. There hasn't been a single person I've introduced you to or a waitress who took our order who you haven't made laugh, ponder, inspire, or root for."

Yorg Kerasiotis, who co-starred in the urban comedy 'Detroit Unleaded' with Batayeh, wrote: "You were the superstar we always admired and one of the funniest men I've ever known."

Batayeh's family has previously said that any gifts given in his memory would benefit young people in south-west Detroit.
